Miro Startup Program: free Miro credit for early teams
Credit amount (provider's words)
$1,000 Miro credit if you work with a Miro partner; $500 without a partner; up to 25% discount for scale-ups
As stated by Miro; not a guarantee. Miro decides who is approved.
The Miro startup program gives startups working with a Miro partner accelerator, incubator or VC a $1,000 credit, and funded independent startups a $500 credit, reviewed case by case. The credit is applied when you buy a paid Miro plan. Venture-backed startups that already pay for Miro can instead ask for 25% off the Enterprise plan.
Miro offers free credits to early startups and a discount to scale-ups. The credit amount depends on whether you come through one of Miro's global partners (accelerators, incubators, VCs, communities). You need a free Miro account before applying.
What you get
- $1000 in Miro credit if you work with one of Miro's global partners
- $500 if you are not part of a partner programme
- For scale-ups: "up to 25% discount"
Eligibility
- Startups working with a Miro partner qualify for $1,000. The partner list is on Miro's Startup Program help page
- Startups without a partner can apply for $500
- A free Miro account is required
How the Miro startup program credit works
Credit types and validity
- $1,000 credit (startups connected to a Miro Startup Program partner)
- $500 credit (individual funded startups, case by case)
- 25% off Enterprise plan for venture-backed scale-ups already paying
How the credits are applied and when they expire
Stay on the Free plan while you wait. On approval you get an email with a payment link; upgrade (Miro suggests Starter) and the $1,000/$500 credit is applied at checkout. You pay anything above the credit, and your card is charged once it's used up. The credit is tied to the applicant's email, must be activated within 6 months, and is forfeited if you change plan later.
Approval time
Individual applications reviewed within 15 days
For founders in India
No India-specific terms published. Independent applicants need Crunchbase-verified funding and their own email domain.
How to apply, step by step
- Sign up for a free Miro account if you don't have one
- If you are with a partner, use the link your organisation gave you (ask them for it)
- Otherwise go to miro.com/startups/apply/ and click "Apply for Miro Startup Program"
- Answer the short eligibility questions
Documents and details to keep ready
- A free Miro account
- Partner link from your accelerator/VC (for the $1,000 tier)
- Miro does not publish a document list. The page only says there are "a few questions to verify your eligibility"
Common reasons applications are declined
- Admin or member of a paid, expired or trial Miro subscription
- Service provider (e.g., consulting)
- Partner track: 30 or more employees, or owned by a parent corporation
- Individual track: funding not verifiable on Crunchbase, or no company domain (gmail.com etc.)
Tips before you apply
- Don't start any Miro trial while your application is pending; it can affect eligibility
- Upgrade from the same email address used on the application, or the credit may not apply and your card could be charged
- Activate within 6 months of approval
- Choose your plan carefully: changing plan later forfeits the remaining credit
Terms to know
- Miro's landing page doesn't state how long the credits last

$1,000 for startups connected to a Miro Startup Program partner; $500 for individual startups accepted case by case.

Startups not on a paid Miro subscription and not service providers; partner-track startups must have fewer than 30 employees and individual startups must be funded (verified on Crunchbase) with their own domain.
